The City of Oakland's Commercial Lending program is a
multi-service business assistance partnership that
provides personalized technical and financial assistance
to small business owners to attract, retain and expand
Oakland's economic base. The Commercial Lending division
has recently partnered with the Cal State East Bay Small
Business Development Center (SBDC). SBDC offers
entrepreneurs and small business owners in Oakland
various workshops, consulting services and business
planning resources to support small business growth and
sustainable economic development. Commercial Lending
also offers a variety of financing programs administered
by the Oakland Business Development Corporation (OBDC
located at 519 17th Street, 7th
floor), to assist the City’s Commercial Lending
division with loan programs to promote investment of
public and private sector dollars into Oakland
businesses and creation of jobs for Oakland's low to
moderate income residents.
The Commercial Lending office is located at 250 Frank H.
