Join Oakland's leading businesses, non-profits and government agencies in giving young people an opportunity to gain experience through employment this summer 2010. Last year 1172 youth completed work-readiness training, and 967 were employed in jobs, gaining direct experience and work skills while earning starting-level wages. This year we look to place over 1,000 youth in summer jobs. Help put Oakland's young people on a journey towards success -- hire from the Mayor's Summer Jobs Program.
